Worksite Wellness - Make It Personal

Find me on:

When looking for a solution for any type of initiative, I can’t imagine an organization wanting a “one-size-fits-all” strategy.  Every organization is different….with unique goals and objectives.  In worksite wellness, we need to keep that in mind when it comes to participants.

An article in Fast Company earlier this year took aim at those one-size-fits-all wellness programs - arguing that the future of wellness is in adapting to the individual participant’s wants and needs (http://www.fastcompany.com/3041383/body-week/why-one-size-fits-all-health-initiatives-dont-work).  And our Kapnick wellness team couldn’t agree more with that philosophy.

The future of wellness programs is to acknowledge that participants have different needs/wants/expectations based on their own unique health status.  Employers need to partner with a vendor that will help them design a customizable program that addresses those needs as much as possible. This type of strategy will allow organizations to maximize their investments in wellness while delivering the most value for their participants.

We believe that for true program effectiveness a more tailored, personalized wellness strategy is what is needed. Because when it comes down to it, "one-size-fits-all" ends up fitting no one.
