Kapnick Wellness - John's Wellness Journey

This week I thought I'd touch on "Perceptions" in my blog. Perceptions are a large part of our everyday lives. You know the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" or "Seeing is believing". When you're overweight, the perception is normally that you're lazy, you're eating junk food every chance you get, and that you've just let yourself go. What no one knows or even starts to the think is that there may be underlying reasons for your current body weight. Well, in trying to break the current "perceptions" on my blog, I'm going to lay it out there. I didn't eat junk food every chance I got. I didn't pig out on a whole pizza when no one was looking. That being said, I did let myself go. For a long time I worked two jobs and I didn't exercise...regularly or sporadically. I also have some medical issues that contributed to my weight gain. I'm not making excuses here, just correcting the perception. In order to change the past, we have to remember the past so we don't repeat it in the future. I've continued working out at the Franklin Athletic Club at lunch. I'm watching what I eat, especially the carbs. I can't seem to break past this plateau in the weight by numbers, but I see a difference in my body and my endurance. I'm going to continue to my fight to lose the weight and live a healthy lifestyle.

Remember, "Don't judge someone's path if you haven't walked their journey." I always did that when I was skinny and younger, and now karma is kicking my butt. IFITISTOBEITSUPTOME!!!
