Well, I am happy to say that I am back on the road to success with a loss this week. It may not seem like a lot to those that are following but, if you knew how hard I worked this week to get to this number you would understand better. I worked my butt off this week every day at the Franklin Athletic Club during the day with weight training and at least an hour of cardio each night. I gave it everything that I had and I earned that loss this week. I went back on Weight Watchers after a major gain on a higher calorie dietary change and I really lost a big number this week. There have been some noticeable changes in my body through exercising and eating right that I'm happy to notice.
I have found that my body is getting used to the workouts and I am not as physically sore as I was in the beginning. I look forward to getting the workouts in each day and I feel guilty if I miss a day.
Wow, that is a nice change of habit. It isn't really as easy for me as other people because I have other medical factors involved as to why the weight isn't coming off as fast but, I am working my way through these issues and feel great. One of things I have tried to condition myself to do is maintain a positive attitude during this journey and it has made a difference. A bad attitude is like a flat tire, you can't go anywhere until you change it. When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.
I still have some bad habits to work on, one of which is weighing myself every day and getting frustrated when the numbers fluctuate. However, I plan to improve each and every day through a positive attitude and hard work. That mindset is what got me a scholarship to play college baseball. It worked before and it is still deep within me alive and well.
