1...2...3...4 OMG is my body sore!!!
This week was one that was challenging but yet rewarding. I am going to the Franklin Athletic Club 5 days a week and really working hard. Although it was about a pound of lost weight this week, I am definitely losing the inches with the weight lifting. I am also mixing in my cardio on as many nights as I can. I have also stopped with any caffeine other than my morning coffee. I am sure that my co-workers and people in the rush hour commute have noticed a little difference.
It is a lonely battle with this journey. I am learning many things about myself and growing as a person. I have never worked out this much in my life. I am slowly trying to put together the jigsaw puzzle of this thing called wellness. I can make all of the excuses in the world and it will never mean a thing unless I fight the battle inside my own head first. I am winning that fight and plan to reprogram the way I think about working out and eating right.
I have good days and bad days. The best day of your life is the one which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses, no one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours and it is an amazing journey. You alone are responsible for the quality of it. You get out of each day what you put in to it. That is when your life really begins. I am taking the next step down the path to a healthy lifestyle. The desire to change has to be greater than the desire to stay the same. I know for sure that this is true for me. What path are you on?
You don't have to be great to start BUT, you have to start to be great.
