Kapnick Insurance Group has been offering wellness services to our clients for the past 8 years. However, our traditional wellness services were not enough for our clients to see an impact on their organization. We realized we needed a different approach. Our wellness team spent months creating a strategy that would inspire employee’s to be accountable for their own health. This strategy is what we call Kapnick strive®.

Kapnick strive® is an innovative and comprehensive wellness program that incorporates the 6 key elements. Together, these key elements produce an effective wellness program that leads to a healthier, more productive workforce.

To the employer, Kapnick strive® is a structured, outcome-based wellness program. Our dedicated team of coordinators and health professionals work with you to provide a customized wellness strategy that fits your organization’s needs. The Kapnick strive® program has been successfully implemented across several industries – manufacturing, law firms, schools, transportation, construction and more.   Our team also helps in the development of an incentive design that complies with the Affordable Care Act Wellness Regulations. Some incentive designs can even make the program cost neutral for the organization.

To the employee, the Kapnick strive® program starts with a comprehensive health screening which translates into a Health Score for each individual. What’s unique about this Health Score is that it is based ONLY on objective data from the health screening. Our own data shows that self-reported information is, for the most part, inaccurate. There can be huge disconnect between one’s perception of their health and their actual health status.

Kapnick strive® participants are held accountable for their health by either maintaining a “good” Health Score OR by improving their score by a certain number of points each year. We reward progress, not perfection. It’s important to offer programming and resources to keep participants engaged in their health. This can be done through health coaching, fitness & weight loss challenges, educational classes, interactive online health trackers, and much more.

A Price Waterhouse Coopers study revealed that even though workplace wellness programs are increasing, most organizations lack the analytics to identify the program’s impact. Why implement a program if you can’t measure its effectiveness? If your current program/vendor doesn’t provide a comprehensive reporting package that evaluates participation rates, level of engagement, claim analytics and health risk migration – you should be re-evaluating your program/vendor.

Now with four years of data, Kapnick strive has proven to be an effective strategy for successful engagement of employees and real improvement of health. Are you ready for a different approach?
