Why a Certificate of Insurance Naming you Additional Insured is not Enough
Posted by kapnick on Dec 23, 2014 1:34:00 PM
So, you followed the advice of your Kapnick service team and obtained a Certificate of Insurance from your supplier or subcontractor naming you Additional Insured. You even asked them to redo it to add “Primary and Non-Contributory” and “Waiver of Subrogation” wording. A few of you even went so far as to get the actual endorsement (we are very proud of you)!
So what does it do for you? Possibly nothing. There has been a major change to most all Additional Insured Endorsements. Insurance companies added a requirement that your Additional Insured is only valid “if required by written contract”. No written contract, no Additional Insured.
The actual wording is something like: Who Is an Insured is amended to include as an Additional Insured any person or organization whom you are required to add as an Additional Insured on this policy under a written contract or written agreement.Topics: Kapnick strive
For the next few weeks, practice some of these healthy living tips to prevent that holiday weight gain after all the Christmas and New Year parties - the below tips will help you battle the holiday bulge:
- Exercise every morning! Start every day for the next two weeks with 15-20 minutes of exercise (hit the gym, a DVD at home, walk, bike, run up and down the stairs, do push-ups and squats or jumping jacks).
- Eat more apples! Apples are loaded with fiber and water and help fill you up before a party. You will naturally eat fewer calories.
- Drink lemon water every morning! This is excellent as a mini "detox" after eating too many treats.
- Make a concerted effort to have only ONE helping of food.
- Pick your FAVORITE dessert and enjoy it! Don't have a "little bit of everything". Just pick one or two of your favorite desserts and enjoy them
- Are you baking this holiday season? Use applesauce, baby food, canned pumpkin or mashed bananas instead of the oil. If you swap a half cup of oil for a half cup of one of these other items, you can save about 110 grams of fat in your next pan of brownies or loaf of pumpkin bread
